Well here's the latest project. 1988 Alumacraft Classic 16. Was picked up Saturday from 200 miles away and what a trip it was! Had to work Friday night, left right after work, drove 3 hrs there and 3.5 hrs back! Then had to be back to work Saturday night.

So what I have is a nice hull, a 5 year old trailer and a trashed 70hp Evinrude. Included in the deal a Minnkota 55lb ipilot, Humminbird WideView finder, anchor, 2 12 gal fuel tanks, 3 props, 4 fold down seats and pedistals and a ProMarine 20 charger.

1st order of business will be to remove the Evinrude, then the wood decking to check the foam and fill test it for any leaking rivets along with a good scubbing inside.

Here's a few pictures for all you voyeurs out there.

I think so too. Should be a nice step up from my Lund S14 DLX. It's not the 16' Rebel that I would have liked to have but it's close.

This will be a slow project as time is limited to spend on it but then again it's a long winter coming. Going to try and get the engine off this coming weekend and hopefully some of the decking up to see what's under it.

Well I didn't get to anything I wanted to this past off weekend other than spending the morning buying a 50hp Johnson to put on it. It's an older 1975 pre VRO which doesn't matter cause I probably wouldn't use it anyways.

Here's a few more pictures for ya all to view.

As you can see it needs a good scrubbing for a start. Most of the carpet is already gone and I'm going to leave it up to the Capt'n as to whether it will go back in or replaced with vinyl.
Already talked to the Alumacraft dealer and they can get me a whole graphics kit for both sides, cost about $120.00

Got the replacement engine running today and could not resist the temptation so we got the 70hp off and the 50hp on. Just have to go out and give'r a try before it ices up and I start tearing into it. One way to see if she leaks!
