I've got a mercruiser alphaa lx 3.0 with a alpha one outdrive. I got it last year I don't know what type of oil is currently in the outdrive. I'm looking to change the oil and noticed ; Mercury High Performance Gear Lube plus says not to mix. I'm gonna drain what ever is In there out. The residual left over isn't a problem I assume not knowing what it is? I was gonna change the old and add; [h=1]Mercury 92-858064K01 Marine SAE 90 High Performance Gear Lube.[/h] seems there's a ton of conflicting info on what to use and I don't have a manual.
I also see ; [h=1]Quicksilver 858064Q01 High Performance SAE 90 Gear Lube .[/h] Not sure which to use?

Use the High Performance Lube. Mercury and Quicksilver are the same thing in different bottles. It's like Dodge and Mopar or Ford and Motorcraft.
