Alpha One Gen1 Transom plate issue

Hello all!
I am working on a 3.0L mercruiser and was in the process of pulling the gimbal bearing. Once I removed the gimbal bearing and cleaned it up, well just look at the picture! Is this saveable or is a new transom plate needed? As always, thanks for your opinions.

corroded away from water stored in the bellows, you need a new transom housing.
