Hello, im currently in the process of putting a new engine in my boat, and while cleaning the gimbal housing in the transom i noticed some wires under the steering arm. When i pulled the engine i didnt have any ripped wires hanging off so i have no clue what they went too. Anybody got a clue? TIA

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... 1 set goes to the trim gauge, if so equipped, from the trim sender,....

The other set is the trim limit switch, which if wired in, stops the drive from risin' on the trim button, at the trim limit,...
To raise it higher, the tilt or trailer button is used to by-pass the trim limit switch,.....

If you could trim full up with the trim button and not touch the trailer function, then the limit was bypassed. If you needed to use the trailer button then the wires just pulled apart. My guess is it was bypassed and therefore of no issue.

If you don't have a gauge, then you can just cut the wires or tie them up out of the way
