Alpha one gears

I lost top gear set on my alpha one out drive. It is a alpha One second gen on a 1993 Mariah. The out drive locked up on the water. I have pull the drive off the boat and pulled the top cap to see how bad they are warn. They are gone!

My uncle has a ~1980's alpha one off an old boat that I can have. Will it but up to the newer alpha? If not will the internal gear set be the same? Anyone have the procedure for setting up the gears.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Nope, they don't interchange, 'n neither do the gears....

Yer Best, Cheapest route is a New SEI replacement....

Yer also gonna have all that ground up metal, In the lower unit,....
