very likely the u-joints going bad. it is a must fix now thing. when they let go all the way - especially if you're turning any real rpms, it could even shred the belllows and sink the boat. not to mention that even if it doesn't get that bad, if it goes all the way, there's a good chance it will screw up the outdrive as well... best case in that situation is you're padding or being towed...
