I am replacing the impellor and shift shaft seals bud did not take note of which way the impellor was oriented. From the top down looking at the lower drive unit which way should the impellor rotate?
With the impeller on the shaft install the pump cover and with slight downward pressure on the housing turn the shaft clockwise until the impeller slides into the housing. Lube pump and housing with soapy water or Merc 2-4-C.
