ALPHA 1 GEN 1 TRIM CYLINDER (NEW)WILL NOT GO ALL THE WAY DOWN

alpha 1 gen 1 ,bought and installed new trim pump complete, trim cylinders, and new lines, but now my trim cylinders will not go all the way down , tank is full ,goes up and down fine ,just won't go all the way down ,about 2 or 3 inches short any help greatly appreciated ,and which line on cylinder is the down line?

The one closest to the prop is the down. Not sure if they do go all the way in. Ones I have seen, if I recall correctly on the alphas, the piston sticks out of the body about 2"

thanx for down line confirmation ,when operating properly they do not go all the way in ,but mine are coming up even short of that by 2 to 3 inches

The most forward hose fitting on the rams go to the most forward ports on the trim block.

Yes old ones went down further than these ,they did not bottom out ,but the angle of my outdrive was more down ,now it looks to be ,with new pistons sitting at the out trim max. the cylinder retract to 21 1/4 inches center to center nut to nut

bought both pump and trim cylinders from SEI ,don't see any trim limit spacer ,in description
