Hey guys,
I'm new at this so bear with me. I have a 1995 Evinrude Intruder 150hp recently purchased. I haven't had any trouble out of the boat until today. When the boat has been running for about three or four minutes at idle and then go to plane I get the continuous alarm for oil or overheat. Sometimes I can squeeze the bulb and the alarm will stop. HELP!!!!

I should mention that the oil reservoir has been removed and now I mix the oil in the tank

Thanks for any help!

Re: Alarm Intruder 150 '95model

im pretty shure its not the overheat alarm or an oil alarm.

it sounds continiously it can be the overhead or the vacuum alarm.

you have a fuel restriction raising the vacuum so the vacuum switch is activated and sound continiously until its back to acceptable fuel vacuum.

when you squeeze the bulp it will stop and than beep again.
i suggest put a 6 gallon fuel tank with 50:1 because your vro is disconected and see if the alarm does come on.
if not your problem is the fuel system before the motor.
fuel hoses kinked, tank, antisiphon valve, vent, pickup tube, fuel water seperator clogged etc, etc.

hope this will help

good luck

If the oil side of the pump is disconnected, did you unplug the wire harness from the pump?
