Age of engine

Im looking to buy an engine and i was wondering if someone could tell me the age of it. its an Evinrude 30hp and the model number he gave me is BE 30 BALCUB and the serial number R1478898 USA. I have look on the web but cannot find it anywhere.

CU are the date letters fo 1987

B is made in Belgium
E is Evinrude
30 is 30hp
BA means it has an AC lighting coil and rope starting
L is longshaft (20")

Looks like an '87 30HP Belgian motor with AC lighting coil.
