I have a 1969 65 HP mercury motor on a 1979 pontoon boat which it had a 50 hp mercury the guy blew up. He left the existing mercontrol wiring harness and it plugs right into my motor. I had to replace the ignition because he lost the key. I bought a Pollack aftermarket ignition the letters on the back are "B", "S", "C", "A", "M", and "M". Off the wiring harness I have the red wire to "B", Yellow wire to "S", Salmon to "M", Grey to the choke and then down to "C", Black to the other "M". I have nothing going to the "A" and two wires left in the harness not being used a brown wire and a white(ish) wire. The motor turns over but has no spark. I know the motor runs the guy I bought it off fired it right up by jumping the points on the motor. SOOOOO what wire do I have wrong or am I not using? Could the 69 motor need different wiring pattern from the motor had on it? Pleaseeeeee HELP
