Advice please

What's the best way to drain and clean ballasts after trips to prevent Quagga/zebra mussels getting caught there, it's apparently quite common and I don't want to be unknowingly spreading them.

That's a very good question for wake boaters. I don't have an answer and hope someone does. I would think fill and drain the bladders a couple times with extra chlorine

A bleach solution of 2% kills them. The problem with bleach is it is corrosive. In some states they are using 140 F water temp to flush the tanks and engines. Lake Tahoe is one area.

Yeah some states check everything is unplugged and drained when you leave, probably very wise, pipes and motors are drained too...
