Adding T-top to 19' 1987 Trophy

Trying to bring this back to life for Lobster season. Repowering to a 2005 Merc 115HP 4 stroke and want to put a t-top on. Found a nice t-top locally. Was looking at putting in backing plates for this. Anyone have any alternatives or recommendations on the process? Thanks

Just kind of wondering what I have for deck here. Anyone pulled one of these apart?

Am I going to run into anything if I cut an 8" hatch under my center console to install these backing plates?
