When I take the motor cover off I see 2 electrical leads with what looks like factory molded connecters not connected to anything. A local source told me those are for connecting an engine temperature guage. Is that correct? If not what are they and how much work is it to connect a temp guage, I'm thinking I'd want to do that so I can see actual engine temp.

Rather be proactive and have a pressure gauge on an outboard.

The color of the leads will tell what they are used for??

The thing about pressure gauges and temp gauges???
How often do you look at the dash as you run around??

Me if I did that, I'd get seasick:)

The best thing you can do is make double sure the horn is working and loud
enough that you can hear it at high speeds.
I installed a horn from a motorcycle when my weak buzzers died.
