Hi guys,
Wondering if I could get your knowledge on adding a pod to a v17C. I am 3/4 through a restoration and have decided to add a new 140hp Suzuki 4 stroke.
The transom was built for a 20in leg, and I am adding a 25in motor shaft.
In regards to the pod I am considering building it 1200mm wide which is approx 3/4 the width of the transom. Just like to get your input on the length the pod should be. I.E 500mm
Another point is that I have been reading on some forums that when attaching to the bottom of the hull that you should make it an inch higher than the bottom of the transom so that it doesn't create drag when on the plane. Is this correct? or should I follow the shape of the hull?
