Hello folks,
I recently purchased an older 1993 Tidecraft Wildfire XV150 from a family member very cheap, I'm in the process of doing some restoration work on it and have a question regarding where I can safely put foam. I decided to go with the pour in product versus spray for cost savings. I've done the math for the amount of foam required to make it truly unsinkable I just need to know where I can pour this stuff safely? My initial idea was to fill the cavity under the seats which is used as a storage compartment first, after that I'm not sure where to add it. Any help will be greatly appreciated, I can add pics of the boat if need be, thanks in advance.

Re: Add flotation foam to my bass boat.

Welcome to iboats.

Depends on the layout of your boat. A 1993 ..... have you checked under the deck for rot? Waterlogged foam? How's the transom? Any soft spots on the deck?

Keep in mind if you have livewells and you fill areas with foam ....you may never be able to access the livewell lines without MAJOR work.

Yes 2 part foam is great to use but it is usually used in conjunction with a restore project.

Post a few snapshots of the boat.
