AArgh So close yet so far - 9.5 evinrude again

Trying to replace the driveshaft seal in the piece that fits below the waterpump and the part that houses the seal cracks on me. So that part is no good.<br /><br />If I can't find one of these I will need to part the motor out. Its a shame because it really runs nice. it just likes to leak gear lube all over.<br /><br />Does anyone know where to get one of these or have one laying around you are willing to sell?<br /><br />I will try Twincity Outboard tomorrow and see what they have. Any ohter clues would be welcome (already tried e-bay).

It's still available Rog from Bomby....PN 382292. It's called a Bearing Housing Assy. Pricey at $62 new.

Thanks for the response.. I am not sure that is the right part as there is no bearing in it.. Just an oil seal. Do you know of a link to a pic of it??<br /><br />$62 is too much for this motor, but a used one just may be the ticket..

I just looked at the evinrude charts and that is indeed the right part.. Thanks. It will help to have th right part number when trying to dig one up..

That's what they called the brass bushing at the bottom of the plate....bearing. Those seals can be tough to get out sometimes. I've got them out with a dremel tool and cutting disc. Check with Twin City...they might have a used one laying around.
