Was having a great day yesterday until I couldn’t shift using the remote yesterday. Replacing the cable today and the new cable doesn’t want to thread for the life of me. It’s a Quicksilver replacement - the old one was the type where it threads in facing the bow of the boat, so is the new one.
I have the 1/4-18 tap coming tomorrow and will give that a shot.
The reason this cable went bad is it got gunked up with mud from the last owner, bad gasket maybe? Who knows.
Any other thoughts?
