1999 Chris Craft 240 Express. 2 years on a rebuilt Volvo 5.7 TBI with duo-prop drive.
It's been a very long road. If anyone's interested I've documented my search here starting about 9 months ago. Looked at several boats, had one surveyed that I passed on, then finally stumbled on the C-C. Made a deal on the price last December, pending the results of survey and sea trial. The survey was completed 2 weeks ago.

Today, the broker, surveyor and I finally got out for the sea trial. Man, what a boat! Powerful, fast and handles like a dream. My surveyor was here, there and everywhere, checking temps and oil pressure at various RPM's, shifting, steering, listening for vibrations and strange noises. He put it through its paces thoroughly before I took the helm.
Last and final step is for the surveyor to complete my survey, fax a list of things to be addressed to the broker, and have the broker approach the owner to make a deal with me on the repairs. I don't anticipate an issue- even if I need to kick in a little more money it will be worth it.
I think Linda and I are going to be real heppy with this boat. Will post again when the deal is completed, by which time I'll be asking a gazillion new questions, as I haven't owned an I/O before.
Oh- just for those who are curious about such things...
Engine temp ran rock steady around 160, and the surveyor did the "hand test" on exhaust manifolds (he forgot his IR thermometer and so did I).
Oil pressure was 50+ psi cold, and about 40 at hot idle
