Well I came up with what I think is a decent way to fix it and got around to taking a picture today, its been in use about 4 trips out and so far it works fine.
Well it worked a bit to good with fenders under the matting, it bounced the boat back, so I am trying 2 layers of matting, after 4 or 5 docking its much better. I also made it wider just because.
