We just got back from the Asian market (my wife is Thai).<br /><br />Durian fruit was selling for 5 dollars a pound.<br />Jackfruit was selling for 3.50 a pound.<br /><br />The smallest durian (size of a football) we could find was a total of 37 dollars.<br /><br />Talk about a high yeild crop!!!<br /><br />Ken

Don't know what durian fruit or Jack fruit is, but that's a heck of a lot of money!!<br />But hey, Thialand and Florida have about the same climate, don't they?<br />hmmmmmmm... There may be a John Deere tractor in my bugjet :) <br />Save me the seeds, Ken :)

No seeds, I couldnt afford those kind of prices. :eek: <br /><br />Plus the wife refuses to pay that much, when you can get it for 1/4 that price in Thailand.<br /><br />Ken

But isn't the price of the plane ticket more than 3/4 of the cost of the fruit? Better pay the higher price and get it in the States than spend the money on airfare!
