I would like to thank everyone who has helped me thus far with my 5.5 evinrude, but now i have another problem. I can't seem to find a fuel pump for my engine. I have a sierra marine parts catalog, and they don't list the pump for it. will the one for the 9.9 work????? does anyone know where i can find one. i finally got the engine to run for more than a few seconds but i have to keep pumping the primer bulb every few seconds because i don't have a fuel pump, but this was also causing alot of my problems, because of the vacuum leak which i temporarilly remedied by installing a bolt in the hole, and after that it would run pretty good, except for idling it has a problem with that, it runs rough and then dies best news of all the impeller is working.

If that's a 1964 5.5, the impeller is Sierra Part Number 18-3001. In fact, that's the impeller for all 5.5 models from 1954-64. You should be able to find it at any NAPA dealer, or you can order one from any internet dealer who handles Sierra Parts, including iboats.com.

The whole repair kit, which includes other parts, is 18-3102.
