are Regal hulls solid single layer on the bottom side?<br /><br />I want to install a depth finder transducer inside the bilge area. Anybody done that here?

When I had to dril thru the transom of my '89 Medalian, it was layred, so I will assume that the entire hull has a layer of wood sandwiched between fiberglass layers.
