Dude You can totally do it. what you need to do is get out the chain saw and saw off the back of the Blazer so it looks like a truck then install a fifth wheel hitch on the floor with a couple of sheet rock screws. ince you are done that you should be good to go. If the cops pull you over just tell them that I said it was ok. By chance are you related to Jeff Foxworthy??

Panic stop. He ain't stopping until he gets to the KOA. Every time he puts the brakes on, the front end pops up and he can't steer any more, so it's gonna be a non-stop trip.

I can just hear the guy at the camper sales place, "oh yeah it'll pull it"!! It amazes me what they will tell you to try and get a sale. My wife and I were looking a couple years ago for a camper, I told the guy I was interested in a pop-up as that's all you need for camping. he takes us to a huge fifth wheel and says "take a look at this". I said yeah it's nice, but my truck won't pull it. At the time I had a 2001 ford reg cab F-150, step side 4wd, with a v6 five speed. The salesman was like oh yeah, that truck will do just fine with that camper. I said not with me in it it won't and left.

I once moved a double wide trailer with a f150. I got it moved, but after $1200 in the frame shop I realized that it would have been cheaper to call in the pros.(gimmie a break, I was 16)

WOW! That's a classic. I think all he is missing though is ballast weights on his front bumper to level the blazer out. The same types of weights used on big tractors. The weights would also act as a big front bumper for whatever he hits when he stops!

I saw something similar done a few years ago while on the road. A guy had a similar trailer but instead of hitching it directly to his vehicle, he was pulling a pickup bed trailer section with the goose neck hitch installed in that over the axle. It sat fine at rest, but when he was driving it, it bobbed and pitched all over the place. It didn't seem to bother him, if I recall he was a ways from home going by his license plates.

I had to give him some credit for ingenuity, but nothing for his ability to engineer the rig. With the double trailer set up, backing up was not an option either. If I remember right he had an old Malibu station wagon. I saw it on the road in N.E. PA a few years ago. That trailer wasn't a camper but looked to be a cargo trailer or car hauler.

"A" for effort but it really needs a caster under the hitch. Another short length of 4x4 with a hole drilled into the top to plug into that upper 4x4, and a caster bolted underneath would do it.
