99 V150 falls on its face

I have a 99 Yamaha V150 Saltwater edition. Idles fine, but when you go to WOT, it will not run above 3000 rpm. Try to go wide open and it falls on its face, but does not die. Can throttle up to 3000rpm

Start with the basics if you compression is good then go ahead and clean the carbs and set the timing. Once you have that out of the way go for the more serious stuff. Normally a drop off in RPMS, without any warning buzzers, means a lack of fuel. Make sure your fuel is clean, change the filter and test the fuel pumps. You should have 5.7 psi at 5000 RPMS
