99 mercury 150 XR 6 warning system not self testing

no initial "test" beeps?.. check for power (key on) on tha purple that goes to tha oiler module.. ground tha tan/blue at tha plastic term block that goes into tha harness to test buzzer.. if buzzer sounds it says circuit is good.. if you have power on purple going to tha module more than likely tha module has gone south..............

left out one important part.... insert this here..
"check for power (key on) on tha purple that goes to tha oiler module" if you disconnect tha purple going to tha oiler module and alarm stops then ya probably have a bad module.....

Me being a simple thinking man..has known it enough times to be almost embarrassing…that the there will be no beep from the first turn of the key…if the kill chord lanyard toggle has been activated.
I also deliberately pull the lanyard on my more modern engined boats, at the first start up of the season after storage. Just because it allows me to crank the engine over without firing. This means I can build some oil pressure around the thing before starting her up. Just because she’s sat so long dormant
