Howdy, I'm trying to get a 1999 to function properly...but of course the issues persist. It's a 24volt, around 65 lbs thrust. Anyhow, when I hook it up properly it will just give a little shake within the head when I turn it on. The prop doesn't turn at all. I've got two batteries to run the 24V's. One of the two might be bad, but wouldn't it run on 12volts as well, just slower. I'm thinking this 10+ year old trolling motor is shot. But at the price of these big ones I'm very skeptical about getting rid of it. Unit looks as though it may have leaked a little oil out of the head. Any ideas? Thanks a million.
