2 of the stator wires were .4 OHM
1 was .8 OHM

Green to ground infnity for all.

Does that signify a bad stator?

Does the stator put out voltage I could test?

What should the voltage be leaving the rectifier?

And no I dont have a service manual.

Its not a blown fuse cause it will charge, just not as strong as usual.

Thank You

Not usually a good idea to direct a question at one helper, lt. That is particularly true when that helper has been absent for months.

You have already solved your problem by what you have said.
You need a service manual to work on your motor. pick one up and read.
Oh and I have not seen Rod post on this site for a few months

peak out put voltage should be 14 v. at 1500 r.p.m. if you have less than one ohm at all green stator wires and infinity to grownd and your fuses are o.k, and the battery is "good!" the problem is most likly the regulator. remember that it is water cooled and you will need a new gasket and verify water flow.
