I am looking at a boat that previously had a 90 HP Mariner on it. Are the bolt patterns the same between Evinrude and Mercury(Mariner)? Don't care to be plugging the transom and redrilling more holes. Thanks

It depends on the year of the Mariner, or more precisely the trim/tilt unit it might have. If the unit is contained between the clamp brackets, then Yes. If the trim rams (or tilt assist cylinders) are mounted outside of the clamp brackets with hoses leading to a pump inside the boat, then No.

Willy B, Thanks for your quick reply. Any idea what year those Mariners with the different trim units might be?
