Hello all you guys helped me out so much last week on the water pump took it out today for trial run well it didn't overheat but new problem and I'm hoping I don't have to rebuild carbs..... got it in the water was a hard start but when I got it running went to put in gear it stalled after about twenty min of this got it into gear and went to get on plane didn't happen it's staying around 2000 rpm but not evening out it's like there isn't any go juice getting to it any ideas guys in neutral sounds like a hell cat but in gear I'm driving miss daisy

Do a compression test first and then a spark test. Spark should jump a 7/16 " open air gap on a spark tester. And then go for the carbs. Don't over rev it in neutral. It tells you nothing.
