What size prop should I get?

Impossible to tell. Which brand motor would that be ? A Prop Selector will dial a starter prop but must be tested on a wot water trial as loaded along an induction tach if wanting to fine tune latter a better prop to better suit your boating style. Ideal would be to dial a prop that makes the motor to ran midle to its max wot rpm range factory stated.

Mercury , (I posted in the Mercury forum too and didn't add that tidbit here.
I know how to test once I have a prop.
Just looking for a place to start??/

Better check a Merc Prop Selector and fill all the tech info needed for the Selector to dial a starter prop. No good to go per anyone's forum member sugestion as each motor/boat installation is a unique one..

Assuming a boat and motor weight of 700#, the solas prop selector estimates a 16P prop. The mercury prop slector is hosed right now. If you're just looking for a starting point, that's as good as any. If the boat and motor weight is more, I'd drop 1" pitch for ever 100# over 700#.
