97 four winns fling

my boat is a 115 hp johnson evinrude with a turbojet outdrive. motor runs fine but when im in the water it revs up but i only go 12mph.ive been told the impeller needs replaced. and ive looked every where and the part is discontinued.anybody can help would be great.

Welcome to iboats. the Fling was a joint venture between Four Winns and OMC. this drive set up, was only used or the Fling. there are not many of them only built for 4 years.

could be a bad impeller however I had the same problem with my jet by overloading the bow. Ocasionally the impeller assembly is up for bid on ebay.
