I'm trying to keep my Fishmaster 170 from taking on water. Besides fixing leaking rivets and such, would it be recommended to seal/caulk the riveted seam around the bottom perimeter of the hull? If so, would fast cure 5200 or Sikaflex be good? I won't be tearing the floor out to have access from the inside at this time. Thanks

I’m no pro and about to seal up my Supersport myself.
Is that a delamination of the joint due to rivet replacement or repair? I’d be inclined to flow some Gluvit into it first, followed by a light smear of 5200 to fill the gaps. Let’s see if some of the pros weigh in with other ideas

No, it's unrepaired, just warped looking from what I can tell. I can't flip the boat over, so I'm worried Gluvit might just run out if I apply it.

I just looked at my boat. I’m not quite sure what I’m looking at in your photos. This this where the bottom of the hull meets the side? is the gap I am seeing above the rivet line? If so why would gluvit not settle down into that gap? Or is the photo upside down

is the interior of your boat gutted?

Yes, it's where the bottom meets the sides. No, it's not gutted. I'll give Gluvit a try. Thanks!

Brush it over the rivet heads also. Maybe several coats? Like I said I’m not used it yet. It looks kind of runny.

Actually right-side-up is good for applying a penetrating epoxy sealer to that particular seam using a syringe.

West system's GFlex kit is what I used for my external seam sealing. It has good adhesion and seems to remain flexible. Some painters tape can help contain it.

To help with penetration, carefully (!!!) heat the seam with a hair-dryer (or heat gun on low) as you're applying. If you go too hot, you'll melt the existing sealant that's in there.
