Hello all,
I have been reading through these forums a lot for help and just finally signed up. I am stuck on my strut replacement on my crownline 202 br. It has a full bench seat across the back with a large sundeck cushion which is heavy as all get up. When i got the boat there were no struts on it anymore or the ball sockets for attaching them. I looked through the forums and it seems like the 20" 50# strut is the typical set to use problem is I don't know where they were originally mounted at. I tried to just mount them in a way I thought would work but they don't stay open or lift very high can barely get a body through the opening, I can't seem to move the mounts up higher without it being to far open that it wont close before the struts bottom out.
Does anyone have a similar crownline 96-2000 era that could snap a pick of where the struts are located. Right now I just got some nylon straps attached so it wont open to the point of hinges bending, but its heavy to lift without strut supports.
