Was out this weekend and 1/2 way through the day the idle would start surging form 1000rpm to 3000rpm. I just ran it all last week and had no

A motor that hunts tends to run lean so you want to get it fixed before it causes damage. Another place to look is all the rubber hoses especially around the quick disconnect. Air may be getting in.
