96 Force 90 hp lower unit leak?

There is oil leaking from a small hole above the prop on the side of the lower unit. Also from the front (see attached photos). The motor has been stored tilted since last fall. What would be the most likely cause? bad seal? I have looked through the service manual and it does not mention this hole.
Any help would be great.

Many times residual unburnt left over oils will drool out of a stored motor, and can be confused as a leak of some sort.

I would suspect a leak if water is present in lower unit gear case.
