'96 EvinRUDE 50 HP WON'T START!

tried to start engine for @ 3o min before i realized safety cut off had broke off ignition switch tried to put new one on and engine sounds great turning over but no fire! any suggestions!

Is it getting spark? The safety lanyard is intended to cut power to the ignition system. If you did not reinstall the lanyard correctly you will not have spark.
