Rebuilt my first Water Pump and installed the Lower Unit back onto the motor and I noticed a couple of unusual things that I wanted to checkout before heading to the lake.
With the motor running at idle with fresh water supplied from the ear-muffs, is it normal to see:
1. A small amount of exhaust gas coming out the vent holes just forward of the anodes?
2. A trickling of water from the Lower Mount Covers that sit just above where the Water Pump Grommet goes into the copper tube?
There is a usual amount of water & exhaust exiting from the Prop.
Maybe I just never noticed?
