I have a 96 Evinrude that is acting up on me, 130 HP. To me it sounds like the engine is starving for fuel. I have had the ignition replaced, VRO pump, carbs cleaned and new kits put on and I am about to change the primer blub. However, when I was looking over the engine today I noticed that the gaskets on the carbs are very wet. I wanted to know if that is normal or not. I figured they would stay dry since they are supposed to seal them tight.
2nd is the picture of the fuel that I pulled from the carbs. I have read a bit about vapor locking and it kind of seems like that. Is it normal for the fuel to have this many small bubbles. That is the fuel out of the four carbs.
Please let me know what you think before I bring it back to the dealership to get more of my money taken. Thanks
