I have a '95 Mariner 125 on my 24' pontoon. While cruising at 4000 rpm the motor just dropped about 500 rpm. It runs really slow picks up slows back down etc. Almost like it starved for fuel. I pushed the choke and this made it worse, so I do no think it is a fuel problem. I pushed the throttle open monre and it started runnning fine again.
It also seems to "fall off" if the throttle is pushed to WOT. It will actually pick up more if the throttle is pulled back a little. Could this be a switch box problem? Fuel filters and pump have been changed.
