My tilt/trim stopped working completely. Worked fine last year but now I get nothing. It seems as if there is no power going to it when i hit the switch. Could someone please tell me what I should be checking first. Thanks

I would first try your tilt from the motor switch. If it doesn't work there then i would bypass the two solenoids. Your tilt motor has three wires one to each solenoid and the black to ground. Hook them to a battery black to neg. then try the other two (one at a time) to pos. If trim motor works your solenoids are bad, If it doesn't work your unit is bad.

Re: 95 Force 120 tilt/trim problem

I had the same problem about a month ago. Do what HAV2FISH said. I had to put a whole new hydraulic motor on last week, now it works great. Once i put it on it still wouldn't work so I went and got two new relays, which I found out I didn't need at all because it was the circuit breaker that had tripped, so make sure the breaker is in order. My motor was completely shot anyways. But if it turns out to be the relay's I have two that work and I have no use for so let me know if you need them. Good luck. Also make sure you have plenty of fluid in there so you don't burn it up.
