i have a 9.9 force that is running at 200 degrees F at full throttle. It has a brand new waterpump and i took the power head off but didnt see much gunk in there. Does anyone have a clue whats wrong.
Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />Was the old impeller broken into pieces?<br />If so, a chunck may be lodged in the waterjacket or the water tube which leads from the pump to the powerhead.<br /><br />Did you get the water tube reconnected when you installed the lower unit?<br /><br />Did you get the impeller drive pin into the impeller/driveshaft so that it is engaged?
