At some point they went from solid bolts torqued to X ft lbs to bolts that were torqued to X + Y degrees of turn. These are stainless as I understand it. but I have practice at being incorrect.

Yes I’ve encountered stainless screws in my travels while trying to revive my force and successfully getting her wet again

The stainless does not corrode, but the galvanic reaction it sets up with Aluminum in contact with salt water caused the aluminum to "bloom" and seriously bind the fasteners.
