Re: 94 OMC 4.3 v6 won't turn over but it tries
Take your time. Search boattrader.com and boats.com. There is also an NADA book on boats and the Kelley Blue Book on boats for comparison of values---NADA is now online. They both list average prices and include values for motor upgrades, drive upgrades, trailers, etc.

My searches are still out there for just the two brand I was looking at---Cobalt and Baja---there are about six of those out there right now within four hours of Indy.

I would not buy anything without a test drive (they call it a sea trial on this here post, matey, arrrgh).

It took me awhile to learn how to buy on the internet, but it is worth it. The search engines will even alert you with an email when a new boat comes online within your search criteria. I bought the one below within 2 hours of it being listed----my offer was contingent on a satisfactory test drive and mechanical survey.

If they won't agree to that, you don't want the boat. As was stated before, most serious boaters should have maintenance records to show you.

Good luck!
