94 Johnson 9.9 Battery Cables = help

First let me thank JB, SeaHorse, and SoLittle for the great info.<br />Now, who can help me with info on where the battery cables hook up to the starter solonoid and where the neg. cable bolts to the block. I have the full cable set, ignition switch, etc. which all matches up great but I'm not sure where to connect the battery cables. Looking at the motor, nothing jumps out at me here.<br />Thanks Shipmates,<br />Chet

Hi Chet....<br /><br />The positive cable will connect directly to the solenoid.<br /><br />The ground cable....usually connect close to the front of the engine around where the solenoid mounts. Look around that area for a bolt hole, 1/4inch. Clean the surface of all paint and connect the ground there. You may have to bend the cable around a bit.

OBJ,<br /><br /> There are a number of terminals on the solinoid, which one do I hook the battery cable to? I don't have a service manual.....YET. Sorry to be so dumb, just want to do it right.<br />Thanks,<br />Chet
