If the manual primer valve is assembled wrong and " always open "----You will have problems !!-----The red lever MUST be inline with valve body for the " run " position.------So revisit your electric primer work and read up on what that unit does !

It works right (primes when energized, not priming when not energized) so it must be working.
while idling, it will stall the engine if I turn to the manual prime position.

That needle/seat common to a lot of models but washer not used on a 60°. Its a subassembly added to kits.

I ordered 6 new carb kits Sunday.
New floats and all. Maybe new bowls didnt get along with old floats! At $20. Per kit, well worth the piece of mind, new gaskets and all.
will meticulously clean and exam each carb.
will report back!

Took apart, cleaned, reassembled with all new gaskets, floats, needles, seats.
Discovered that 2 out of 6 high speed jets were 57d, instead of 70d’s.
Ordered 2 70d’s. Broke shifter cable. (Dammit)
ordered new shifter and throttle cables. (25 years old, so....)
will report back!

Did you ever fix this issue? I'm having the same problems after replacing my carb bowls where it runs flawless up to 3k rpm then bogs and isn't happy
