Was wanting to bore the cylinders of my 1994 50hp Johnson .030'' over, what are the pro's and cons of doing that and what will i need piston/rings size for that application? And do I match the head to it? Thanks

there are really no pro's and cons. either it needs boring or it doesnt. Your post says "i want to bore", but do you need to bore? have you got a compression problem? If it doesnt have cylinder/compression problems then i would not have any pro's for ya. just cons that come from doing a lot of work for nothing.

If you do have a problem, then its all pro's, your motor will be freshened and have good compression again.

It has slight cylinder scaring from a blown head gasket, too much for my liking is actually why I want to bore it, I know fuel consumption will go up a bit but will it increase HP?

And I was wondering what the cylinder ring end gap should be so I can check the rings I have on now thanks

you would have to look at a manual for the ring gap. HP increase wouldnt be enuf to notice if that is your goal.
