If its not one thing its something else lately with this motor. Im close to pouring gas on it and setting it alight. Please help
It's decided it wont prime hard. Pump the primer and you can see gas through the fuel filter on the motor but where it goes up into the intake manifold it was leaking back out of the hose, replaced the hose clip and now it makes a clicking noise inside like something spring loaded is releasing? At the tote tank it also seems to be pushing gas back out the fitting? priming the hose itself back into the tote tank is fine.
Any ideas ?

OK so after checking the net for a diagram i had the pulse and fuel intake hoses reversed. Problem is it still wont prime the bulb hard. Have I damaged the VRO pump or something ? When i took the top hose to the manifold off it sprayed fuel all over me so its getting through the pump part. Im out of ideas now ??

Alway possible that the ball valves in the primer bulb are not functioning properly. Best to have the primer bulb positioned so that the arrow on the bulb is upward. If the bulb is laying downhill in the boat splashwell, that can cause the bulb valves to malfunction (loose prime.) You can replace just that primer bulb.

So any indication of where the fuel is going when pumping wildly at the bulb ??? Does the motor run ??? if so, how well ?? same as usual or issues ??

It did seem to be going into the pump as when i took the top hose off it sprayed fuel. When i was priming it with the hose pointed back into the tote tank it worked fine too. This morning i went out and made sure i was holding the primer with the arrow facing up not just parallel to the ground and it pumped up fine. Reassembeled the intake and it fired up sweet. Idled fine once i adjusted the cable. So annoying how you have to take them off to be able to move the intake.
