93 Johnson 40hp..leaking oil

Just picked up a 93 sweet 16 Pro....took off the transom saver and and dropped the motor to fit in the garage. Some water came out...the dealer said they tested and winterized it. Now after a few days I seem to have oil coming out from behind the prop. Is this a bad seal and if so can I fix it myself?....never worked on a outboard before. Can I get a repair manual somewhere.

Might be oil from the engine running out the exhaust. There are many posts about the lower unit seal. There are special tools to rebuild the lower unit but it can be done if you are handy. Manuels are avalible here on i boats
