I bought a 1993 1900F/S last summer, this is my first boat. I planned on replacing all the rotten wood panels and installing new carpet. Currently I have all the panels out and the carpet pulled but the deeper I go the scarier it gets. I found that the foam bellow the floor around the engine compartment is wet.
The Wood supports for the engine are wet and rotten, is there any thing that can be done without removing the engine? I know it would be best to pull the motor and replace the supports, but I lack the resourses to lift the motor.

Thank you for the Help.

i dont know alot about boat being a panel beater but from my years of working on cars engine mounting point r not something you want to try and work around, do it propley and know that you and your passangers r going to be safe in the water, any mechanic should be able to lift the motor out for you at a good price

If it's an I/O, then no. I purchased my boat with the same expectations. Went to replace the carpet & panels only to find out everything needed to be replaced. I had my motor & outdrive pulled, winterized, & stored for just over 500$. Hopefully it won't cost quite that much to install once I have it rebuilt. Good luck.
